It's so obvious. You just have an address now. Handy if you want a parcel delivered, or want to throw a coronaproof party. You just pass on where you can be found.

Not everywhere in the world

Of course, this is true in countless locations around the world, but in just as many cases it is not. You live somewhere in the desert, or there are simply no street names, let alone a house number of where you live.

Google therefore introduced the so-called +-code back in 2015. A location indicator based on longitude and latitude. A very precise way of indicating where anything can be found.

Improvement

With the aim of giving all the world an "address", significant improvements and especially an expansion of views have been made to Google Maps. Because that's where you can find your +location.

Of course, the system is offered in open source and can be used for free. And - very importantly - you don't have to be online to find the location. The services are also available offline.

A whole new world opens up. Find your own location via: Plus.codes
