Bestronics is transferring its low-volume prototyping activities to Brainport Industries Campus (BIC). The Veldhoven-based manufacturing and assembly company specialises in production development, assembly of Printed Circuit Boards and final assembly. Its headquarters is in Veldhoven. At BIC, Bestronics expects to expand its business network and, as a manufacturer of printed circuit boards, to be an ideal partner of the high-tech manufacturing companies already established there.
Bestronics has long been an active member of Brainport Industries and therefore no stranger to the Brainport Industries Campus. There is already plenty of contact with the other tenants, but the move may make the interaction even stronger. The intention is to realise the move in May and start production that same month. This involves the complete process, from design-for-manufacturing to the final product. By being closer to the customers, the development process can also be carried out jointly, which further increases the quality of the end products.
The 'Prototyping-as-a-Business' process is specially designed for fast lead times and relatively small volumes. As a result, four of Bestronics' 35 employees are moving with the company to BIC. By removing this activity in Veldhoven, Bestronics makes room there for a new high-volume line. With this, the move is also an expansion for Bestronics.
Anton van Limpt, CEO and co-owner Bestronics: "From the conversations we have had recently, it is abundantly clear that we can add even more at BIC with our expertise around printed circuit boards. It is the most basic part of the whole manufacturing industry, so having that closer to you is an advantage for all parties. Our customers are certainly not limited to those within BIC, but that we
can further strengthen the infrastructure of Brainport Industries with this, makes it extra nice."
Ferdinand Gremmen, director SDK Vastgoed (VolkerWessels) and responsible for BIC: "The arrival of Bestronics shows how well our innovative ecosystem functions. I am proud that this innovative company chose us for this very reason. Bestronics already has the necessary contacts within our network, but also for the other companies within
BIC, it brings added value. All new activities resulting from Bestronics' arrival are going to further help us realise our common ambition."
Raphael Noé, partner at Capreon: "It is very nice to see that companies that have played a central role in the ecosystem for years are increasingly finding their way to BIC. With Bestronics, not only does a great company come to BIC, but also entrepreneurs who know the value of the network and how we can increase it further at BIC. They will have a nice place in the westwing where different innovative companies operate side by side and reinforce each other with different production techniques and protoyping lines."
