Smart Robotics is launching new versions of its Smart Palletizer cobot. The robot will now be available in three versions: the Essential Version, Advanced Version and Premium Version. The company aims to make the robots more responsive to customers' needs.

The Smart Palletizer is a cobot that picks products from a conveyor belt and places them on a pallet. Typically positioned at the end of a production line, the robot automates this repetitive task. The cobot can interact safely with humans and therefore does not require a safety cage.

Using the robot, Smart Robotics aims to help companies with various challenges, including labour shortages. For example, workers who previously had to load pallets can be used for other tasks. Companies can also relieve staff and thus reduce absenteeism.

Three versions

The robot is now available in three versions:

  • The Essential Version is the basic version of the cobot. This system can handle various stacking patterns and adjust its operation independently if needed.
  • The Advanced Version builds on the Essential Version. Among other things, this version can lift a wider variety of boxes and stack them in more complex stacking patterns. It can also stack boxes to a greater height. The Advanced Version can be integrated into warehouse management systems.
  • The Premium Version is the most comprehensive variant of the Smart Palletizer. Among other things, this robot is suitable for lifting and stacking baked goods and pharmaceutical products, as well as open boxes.

Smart Robotics supplies the Smart Palletizer via an as-a-Service model, including hardware, software and maintenance. The system can lift loads of up to 8kg.

Configure

Configuring the cobot is possible via the Smart Product Editor. Among other things, new products and stacking patterns can be created via the software. The installation of the Smart Palletizer takes a day, according to the company. Through remote monitoring, the company optimises the operation of Smart Palletisers.
