The rapid adoption of 3D printing calls for a platform solution that simplifies the workflow for the user and is compatible with a wide range of software applications and materials. Ultimaker's open strategy enables industry partners, such as leading CAD vendors and materials manufacturers, to integrate with Ultimaker Cloud.

Ultimaker has announced the launch of Ultimaker Cloud at the TCT ASIA. Ultimaker Cloud is a future-proof cloud platform designed to support the professional 3D printing workflow. The first cloud services offered are 3D printing or remote, unlimited access to the Marketplace and reviews in the Marketplace. There is also now the ability to back up user settings for remote access. Ultimaker Cloud will be available from 19 March along with Ultimaker Cura 4.0, which features an updated user interface.

Jos Burger, CEO of Ultimaker: "Ultimaker Cloud forms the basis for future value propositions from Ultimaker and our key industry partners. This is an important step in our mission to accelerate the global transition to local, digital manufacturing. We have worked hard on this solution together with our global network of software and material partners. I have no doubt that this will ensure Ultimaker becomes the preferred solution in the field of dekstop 3D printing.
