A campaign has been posted on Indiegogo, a website for kickstart campaigns, for an innovative golf ball with electronics inside. The golf ball collects data about the golfer's game.

Data about play

Everyone who plays sports naturally wants to get better at the game. This smart golf ball, the Graff Golf, should help with that. The ball contains various components that collect data around the golfer's game. The more often the ball is hit, the more valuable the data becomes.

Designed by three students from Johns Hopkins University, the golf ball has been on Indiegogo for several weeks to raise money to make the prototype. That money, around 50,000 euros, has now arrived. The ball includes a lithium battery and a charging module.

The Groff Golf comes with an app on which all the data collected by the ball can be viewed. If you invest $99, once the product is ready, you will get a box with three smart golf balls, a wireless charging station and access to the app.
