Groendus and HyET Solar will cooperate exclusively in developing projects with roll-up solar film on company roofs. HyET's innovative solar cells are extremely lightweight and flexible. Ideal for companies with weaker roof structures and for non-standard surfaces.
Groendus and HyET Solar have signed an exclusive collaboration for the development of projects involving solar film on company roofs. With this partnership, companies can benefit from self-generated green energy without having to invest in an installation themselves and without having to strengthen their roofs. They can also green their energy consumption to the maximum in combination with Groendus storage, energy control and the Energy Marketplace.
Innovation from Dutch soil
HyET Solar's solar film is a Dutch-made innovation. Because it is very light and flexible, it offers more uses than standard glass solar panels. The foil is also ATEX certified. This certification guarantees extra safety. It makes the film applicable in fire- and explosion-sensitive environmental conditions. This opens the way for industrial surfaces that are normally unusable for solar power generation. Moreover, these solar cells are more environmentally friendly. The carbon footprint per watt-peak solar film is up to 80% smaller than traditional solar panels. And the foil consists of 99% recyclable plastic. So no glass, aluminium and silicon from outside Europe is needed.
Solar film at Vopak
The flexible solar cells are already in use at early investor Vopak. With Vopak as a customer, HyET Solar has a strong example position in the market. And with the exclusive collaboration with Groendus, both companies hope to make an even greater contribution to the energy transition.
Green energy for everyone
"We are very happy with this cooperation with HyET Solar. It is a great way to grow this Dutch innovation" says René Raaijmakers, director of Groendus. "We see that many companies want to generate their own green power. But by no means all companies have a suitable roof for traditional solar panels. With HyET, we can also help these companies make their energy consumption more sustainable while reducing their energy costs."
Energy transition
"Our cooperation with Groendus is an important step in the Dutch energy transition" says Rombout Swanborn, CEO of HyET Solar. "We are convinced that the combination of our innovative solar foil and Groendus' expertise in financed installation will pave the way for companies to convert their roof surfaces into green energy sources. Moreover, we are proud that we as Dutch companies can deliver this sustainable innovation to the market."
