Start-up Mooz wants to start filling the gap between cheaper 3D printers and costly industrial versions with a modular 'all-in-one' design. This printer, from a Korean company, is equipped with an interchangeable head that allows easy switching between multi-colour 3D printing, CNC cutting (8,000 rpm, 0-5 mm deep) and laser engraving (250 mW laser).
The machine will initially come in three basic versions. The Mooz 1 offers capabilities for simple 3D printing jobs and CNC and laser operations with one vertical arm. The Mooz 2 also offers an additional vertical arm for higher accuracy and stability. Finally, Mooz 3 is completely different; while the 3-column design does not accommodate CNC or laser heads, it does work with two different colour filaments simultaneously.

Each of the Mooz versions features a smartphone-like control panel with USB connection. Plugging in the USB cable makes it easy to upload designs, parameters, and the like. All components of the Mooz are made of aluminium. The printers themselves have high-precision stepper motors and linear guides so that vibrations are kept to a minimum: the printer operates with an accuracy of 0.02 mm.
