Isah Software Group strengthens its shareholder structure with support from family investment firm Bregal Unternehmerkapital. Isah is a leading specialist in ERP software solutions for discrete manufacturing. Isah founder and CEO Paul van Abeelen and the current management team remain co-shareholders of the company. With the support of Bregal as majority partner, Isah aims to expand its network and accelerate growth in its Dutch home market. The software provider also wants to grow in the German region and even further afield.
Resourceful partner
Isah has found an experienced and resourceful partner in Bregal, which will help the company implement its strategy to expand its position as the leading software provider in the discrete manufacturing market. The transaction is expected to close in early 2022.
Strategic
Isah, founded in 1987 by Paul van Abeelen and Ludo Hessels, continues to market its software solutions as an independent company within Bregal. With a large number of enterprise software partnerships within its current investment portfolio, Bregal is able to support Isah's growth ambitions in the future by providing strategic advice, resources and access to a network of leading industry experts. As a long-term investor in proAlpha, a leading German mid-market ERP software provider, Bregal has significant expertise in ERP solutions for the discrete manufacturing sector. Van Abeelen explains: "With Bregal, we have found an ideal partner with detailed knowledge of enterprise software for the manufacturing sector, which is fully behind our growth plans. The partnership is a guarantee for our future development."
As part of the new partner structure, Paul van Abeelen is handing over his role of CEO to CCO Frank Groot. Groot has been with Isah since 1997. The full management team, consisting of Wim van Lemmen, Tim van Bergen, Arjen Verhoeff and Peter van Harten, will remain with the company. They are increasing their investment in Isah, along with Paul van Abeelen and Bregal. Paul van Abeelen will continue to provide close support to Isah's management team with a focus on strategy, product vision and customers.
Developing new products
Isah has already experienced steady growth in recent years. The aim of the partnership with Bregal is, among other things, to help support Isah's future development. This by investing in the team and technology with capital and expertise. Bregal will also bring its sector expertise in adjacent enterprise software segments to the partnership. Future CEO Frank Groot added: "Isah's customers will also benefit from the new partnership. The flexibility we gain from Bregal's financial strength and the ability to leverage their network will give Isah additional opportunities to further develop powerful new products and enhance our service offerings for customers. The Isah team is very much looking forward to working with Bregal."
