ESEF 2018 is just around the corner: from 20 to 23 March, the trade fair for the manufacturing industry will take place. In the run-up to this, we highlight a number of exhibitors on the basis of five short questions. This time, it is the turn of Oceanz 3D printing.
1. What solutions do you have to offer ESEF visitors?
"At Oceanz, ESEF visitors can experience the 3D printing process up close. At the stand, the added value of Additive Manufacturing is easy to see. Both finished products and prototypes can be admired, as well as materials and post-processing options. Additive Manufacturing is starting to become a full-fledged industry. The number of solutions, materials and techniques is developing at a rapid pace. And with it, Oceanz's role as a service company. Oceanz is able to meet customers' needs. In this respect, 3D printing is a means and not an end in itself."
2. What has been your latest investment and why?
"A final investment? That's too many to mention. Every day, Oceanz invests in its production capacity, new materials, techniques, etcetera. Many investments are aimed at delivering (final) products of continuous high quality (ISO9001 and ISO13485)."
3. How did you contribute to the customer's final product?
"Additive Manufacturing - and 3D printing in particular - has many advantages for the customer. Among other things, (end) products can be realised stronger, cheaper and lighter using these techniques. Obviously depending on the specific demand and series size. 4. What innovations and projects have you worked on recently?
"Many of our clients' designs are protected. But there are plenty of examples on our website. From good examples and case studies in packaging and manufacturing to Donkervoort within automotive; Oceanz has been involved as a partner. There is also a large number of examples from 3D printing for the medical field."
5. How do you relieve your customer?
"Oceanz is able to assess together with the client whether Additive Manufacturing is a solution to realise the product. This can be in the design/design phase, but also during the production process with material choices, optimisations, production techniques. In short, Oceanz provides the right services to the client as a service company. From design to fulfilment. Unique in the Netherlands!"
