ESEF 2018 is coming up: from 20 to 23 March, the trade fair for the manufacturing industry will take place. In the run-up to this, we highlight a number of exhibitors using five short questions. This time it is GL Plastics' turn.
1. What solutions do you have to offer ESEF visitors?
"Gl Plastics is an expert in metal and plastic combinations and cost-saving two-component injection moulding, reel-to-reel injection moulding. So we have plenty to show at the fair."
2. What has been your latest investment and why?
"We have recently invested in new 1000- and 450-tonne machines, a new production hall, automated ultrasonic welding machines and a special PVD Vacuum Coating machine and optimised in mould labelling capacity. In addition, many machines have been highly automated to save production costs."
3. How did you contribute to the customer's final product?
"We help customers with the development engineering of their products, from design phase to finished product, we save costs and develop innovative concepts that allow the customer to stand out in the market."
4. What innovations and projects have you worked on recently?
"Among other things, we recently collaborated on Twickto Toys, which was awarded the IF Gold Award in Germany this week. We also had a stake in a solar concentrator, one that dwarfs the efficiencies of current solar panels. And on top of that, we have been working on numerous innovations for medical and automotive customers."
5. How do you relieve your customer?
"We do this by being a true all-in-one service provider: we develop and do engineering, we produce, make and assemble and assemble, coat and print. And all under one roof."
