ESEF 2018 is coming up: from 20 to 23 March, the trade fair for the manufacturing industry will take place. In the run-up to this, we highlight a number of exhibitors using six short questions. This time, it is the turn of E.D.&A..
1. What solutions do you have to offer ESEF visitors?
"We offer electronics from A to Z. For more than 35 years, we at E.D.&A. have been developing, producing and testing custom-made electronics for machines and appliances. Both for industrial applications (ventilation, food, etc) and consumer-related applications (water softeners, range hoods, etc)."
Why should visitors really stop by your stand?
"On our stand, E.D.&A. will display electronic controls with innovative user interfaces (motion recognition, etc). Our custom-made electronics are intended for machines and devices from various sectors. So that could just be for Also for your application?"
What was your last investment and why?
"Since 2012, we have had our own in-house production line with SMD, THT, FPT. 'Smart development to produce smart' is our slogan. New machines are added regularly to further expand our own production."
How did you contribute to the customer's final product?
"E.D.&A. is responsible for electronics from A to Z. Besides developing electronic controls, E.D.&A. is also responsible for their production. We understand better than anyone else that our innovative controls must form a solid basis for stable operation of the machine or device."
What innovations and projects have you worked on recently?
"We have been working on the following innovations, among others:
- Innovative development of a Switched Mode Power Supply (SMPS): its first patent is a reality.
- Android runs on a hardware platform previously developed by us. The advantage is that an Android app -developed for tablets or smartphones- can also work on our electronic controller.
- Innovative user interfaces: gesture recognition, touch&swipe, video, and so on."
How do you relieve your customers?
"Every application is unique. We list the customer's requirements and specifications and translate this into a customer-specific control design. The customer gains access to unprecedented possibilities through our engineers' broad and extensive expertise in control, data communication capabilities, software development, etc.
It goes without saying that the best products must be produced in the best conditions. All our controls meet the highest quality standards. The end product undergoes several advanced test phases during the entire process, ensuring 100% correct operation of your controller. Inspections according to applicable standards (UL, VDE, CE, etc) are also important focal points throughout the development and production process."
