ESEF 2018 gets underway: from today until Friday 23 March, the trade fair for the manufacturing industry will take place. In the run-up to it, we highlight a number of exhibitors using five short questions. Closing this section is BKB Precision.
1. What solutions do you have to offer ESEF visitors?
"For high-accuracy and/or complex milling and turning of plastics BKB Precision is the plastics supplier of choice for the high-tech industry. We unburden our clients with our products."
2. What has been your latest investment and why?
"Our own cleanroom car wash. This is to increase the service level of our organisation towards our customers. We can now clean and package ISO Class 7 (ASML 'Grade 4') in-house for our end customers with lead time reduction."
3. How did you contribute to the customer's final product?
"We have carried out complete prototyping for certain customers. From production to assembly, testing of the finished product including a complete PPA (Product Parts Aproval) procedure carried out, which is fed back to the customer in terms of manufacturability in relation to functionality. In this way, we have contributed to a nice working end product which is produced at the best price/quality ratio."
4. What innovations and projects have you worked on recently?
"The development of new calibration tools for a joint project between Philips Medical and Electa Sweden."
5. How do you relieve your customer?
"In addition to CNC turning and milling, we also provide:
- Thinking along in the preliminary process with designers/developers
- Buying parts
- Assembling parts
- Cleaning parts/assemblies
- Lacquers
- Polishing / Gluing / Forming."
