ESEF 2018 is coming up: from 20 to 23 March, the trade fair for the manufacturing industry will take place. In the run-up to this, we highlight a number of exhibitors using six short questions. This time it is Omefa's turn.
For more than 40 years, Omefa has specialised in plastics, injection moulding technology and tool making. Innovative collaboration, continuity, flexibility and reliability are important keywords for the company. Omefa is based in Nieuwkoop.
1. What solutions do you have to offer ESEF visitors?
"Omefa offers total solutions in injection moulding. We unburden the customer through our Total Process Solution. We go from idea to solution in eight steps, so to speak."
2. Why should visitors really stop by your stand?
"Visitors who visit us can meet an innovative partner in the field of plastic solutions. Omefa takes a personal approach and this will also be reflected on our stand."
3. What has been your last investment and why?
"Our latest investments were focused on a modern injection moulding machine a modern milling machine and flow simulation."
4. How did you contribute to the customer's final product?
"We contribute by thinking along with the customer from idea to final product. Co-inventing is Omefa's strength."
5. What innovations and projects have you worked on recently?
"There are several innovations and projects that we have worked on recently. These include the Lightwell: Friso Kramer LED, a shade for the groundbreaking Lightwell outdoor lamp designed by this world-renowned Dutch designer. We were also involved in Warp-Systems, floor and wall heating with a low build-up height, easy to process without residual waste. Finally, I would like to mention our involvement with SuberSub. This is a subtle, plastic tile as a substrate for sports fields."
6. How do you relieve your customer?
"We do that with our Total Process Solution. These are eight steps, all under one roof. These are the steps it's all about:
-Product development
-Material selection
-Simulation
-Matrix development
-Tool making
-Injection moulding
-Automation
-Quality
