During ESEF 2018 (from 20 to 23 March), we will visit several exhibitors to ask them a few questions about their company, their vision and other issues. During Day 3, we visited, among others, De Cromvoirtse, one of Brabant's largest and most innovative metal companies. The company recently won Koninklijke Metaalunie's Smart Manufacturing Award in the South-East region.

Dutch companies are experiencing fewer production stoppages due to a lack of materials than they did a year ago. On average, production was halted for 21.4 days over the past twelve months, compared with 27.6 days in 2025. At the same time, the companies surveyed are less positive about their economic outlook: 37 per cent view it more positively than a year ago, compared with 57 per cent last year. This is revealed in reichelt elektronik’s Supply Chain Report 2026, for which 250 tech decision-makers at Dutch companies were surveyed.
