With temperatures approaching 30 degrees, summer is everywhere. So the perfect time to take to the water at the weekend. And what better way to do so than in a 35-metre superyacht designed by Porsche? With three decks and Grand Turismo-like styling, the GTT 115 yacht offers a fine combination of speed, comfort and luxury. Keep the summer coming!
For propulsion, two MAN V12 engines with an output of 1,627 hp and two thrusters achieve a speed of 21 knots. If speed is of minor importance for a moment - during a party with friends, for example - it is possible to switch to the full-electric drive of two 20 kW electric motors. In this whisper-quiet mode, speed is around 6 knots. The electric system is powered by a pair of generators for virtually unlimited range.
The yacht's hull is made of aluminium and specially designed for speed, efficiency, stability and protection against spray water. A special stabilisation system with four electric fins reduces the vessel's rolling motion by 85 per cent while sailing and 60 per cent when the yacht is at anchor. As an option, an additional stabilising blade can also be chosen under the vessel's transom for even better hydrodynamic properties. Similar to the action of a spoiler on the back of a car, the blade lifts the hull slightly, so to speak, reducing drag and increasing efficiency and range.

The GTT 115 offers luxurious accommodation for six guests and room for another six crew members. For those who wish, the accommodation can also be laid out for 10 guests. They can enjoy a large sun deck on top of the yacht with swimming pool, space for dining, large picture skimming area and a bar/BBQ area. All windows are fitted with insulating glass that keeps out almost all UV rays and reduces heat transfer by 60 per cent. Although the GT 115 is not the largest in terms of superyachts, the garage at the front offers ample space for a ford jet ski.
The link to Porsche is clear from the Targa-like centre pillar and top line that are also visible in the futuristic Mission E concept studies. The coating in white, silver or blue also comes from the Porsche catalogue. Those interested should be quick: only seven will be built. Don't forget to bring a well-stocked wallet. Take a look first?
