Turkish startup SealVans has launched two innovative amphibious caravan models. These combine the features of a boat with those of a traditional caravan. After successfully creating a series of prototypes last year, the company is now bringing the camper-boat versions to the European market. These amphibious vehicles, known as the Seal 4.20 m and Seal 7.50 m, are a unique solution for adventurous families who want to explore both land and sea.
The SealVans amphibious caravan can function as a traditional caravan on land or as a fully functional boat, depending on its intended use. Unlike other amphibious vehicles, SealVans enable a seamless transition from land to water. Ease of transport, both on land and in water, was one of the key design principles. The result is a luxury boat caravan designed to meet all basic needs.
The main difference between the two versions is in size and finish. The Seal 4.20m is a compact version weighing less than 750 kilos. It is specially designed for shorter trips. Its smaller size makes it ideal for up to two adults and, depending on local laws, no special permits are required for use on the water.
Alternatively, the Seal 7.50m is intended as a holiday vehicle for entire families, as it can accommodate up to three adults or a family of two adults and two small children. On land, it resembles a conventional two-axle caravan, but its contemporary aesthetic is highlighted by the panoramic windscreen and roof.
This version transforms into a boat-like craft on water and offers a unique experience for its occupants. The amphibious caravan is equipped with a functional kitchen, a compact bathroom with shower and comfortable seating, including a large bed and an optional extra bed. This version has a maximum permissible weight of 3,000 kilos and an internal height of 2 metres.
