The camping season is just around the corner and soon thousands of Dutch people will head out again with tent, camper or caravan. Campsites generally offer good power facilities, but what if you are looking for your own spot in, say, Scandinavia? Or if you don't want the hustle and bustle of camping for once? The "Wind Catcher" is then a godsend.
Weighing just 10 kilos and with a capacity of 600 watts at a wind strength of 8 m/s, the Danish Wind Catcher might be the solution.
Setting up the Wind Catcher takes just 15 minutes and generates power straight away, even when wind speeds are low. The most comprehensive version delivers 600 watts at a speed of 8 m/s. The ‘lite’ version still manages 200 watts. More than enough to charge your phone, laptop or e-bike. Powering lights or watching TV is also no problem. What’s more, the wind turbine can easily be connected to batteries from Bluetti, Jackery EcoFlow and Goal Zero, so you’ll always have power whilst on the move.
The Lite version is the entry-level model with still good performance. The great thing is that this version is upgradeable if there is a need. If the need is greater, you can also link several Wind Catchers together.
The Wind Catcher is still under development and not yet available for a while, but can be ordered for delivery in this year.
