4CEE acquires e-invoicing and e-procurement player Tradeinterop. In doing so, 4CEE integrates all of Tradeinterop's activities into its portfolio.

Among other things, Tradeinterop provides e-invoicing accounting software, which allows users to submit digital invoices via the secure Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) network. This is a secure network managed by the European Commission. The network allows invoices and orders to be exchanged according to the UBL standard. Among other things, this enables the exchange of documents with the Dutch government and European companies.

Supplying e-invoices via existing software

Tradeinterop also offers solutions that allow organisations to submit e-invoices via existing ERP and customised software. This without having to change existing software or processes. In doing so, the software converts organisations' e-invoices to the Peppol format, which allows invoices to be sent to customers via the Peppol network. In doing so, it supports various invoice formats, including UBL, DICO (SALES and INSBOU), SETU, Energy eInvoice, UN/CEFACT, iDOC and FatturaPA.

The software also enables received e-invoices via the Peppol network. Tradeinterop thereby converts the invoices into the correct format so that they can be processed in organisations' existing software.

Getting suppliers to embrace e-invoicing

If an organisation wants to switch to e-invoicing and be able to receive digital invoices, it is important that suppliers also embrace this way of working. Tradeinterop also offers support in this process. Using tooling and advice, part of its solution Tradeinvite, the company helps suppliers make this switch. Among other things, it has developed a so-called Onboarding Manager for this purpose to automatically approach suppliers and monitor the results of campaigns around supplier onboarding. The company also trains organisations so that, over time, they can take charge of the onboarding process themselves.

Finally, Tradeinterop offers a solution called Tradeinsights, which provides insight into the invoicing process. The solution gives organisations real-time insight into data surrounding the sending, receiving and processing of invoices. The aim is to optimise invoicing processes and move to e-invoicing.

Support administrative processes

An acquisition brings Tradeinterop into the hands of 4CEE, a player in finance and administration software. 4CEE is a group of IT companies providing solutions that support organisations' administrative processes. The group consists of five parties:

  • ICreative: A Basware and Kofas partner providing procure-to-pay and e-invoicing solutions for large enterprises and both educational and government institutions. The solutions give companies more control over their corporate spending while also simplifying the procurement to payment process.
  • Easy Systems: offers ERP-independent software to support purchase-to-pay and e-invoicing processes. The software automates administrative processes and relieves companies of work.
  • Coforce: Automates work using Robotic Process Automation (RPA). RPA is a technology that automates recurring business processes and tasks using software.
  • Diesis: Automates the order-to-cash process, taking on the management of and support for the Unit4 Financials procurement and finance software environment.
  • Stiply: Offers a digital signing solution for medium and large organisations. The solution supports the digital signing of documents and also provides insight into the signing process.

The group is therefore now expanding with Tradeinterop, which has now moved from De Meern to 4CEE's offices in Ede. In addition to Tradeinterop's portfolio, 4CEE is also taking over the company's team. Tradeinterop serves more than 135 clients in the Netherlands and Belgium, including Exact, citizenM, Bidfood, Moneybird, SnelStart, WeFact and Staatsbosbeheer.
