Innovative textile-to-textile recycling company Reju receives subsidy to build plant at Chemelot
Reju, a company in textile-to-textile regeneration, has received €135 million in funding from the Dutch National Investment Scheme for Climate Projects Industry (NIKI). The funding supports the construction of Reju's plant at the Chemelot Industrial Park in Sittard-Geleen, covering both the investment phase and operational activities. The contribution from the NIKI scheme is an important step towards the final decision for construction.

Breakthrough in robotic parts overhaul
The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operations and Automation IFF and Rolls-Royce Solutions Magdeburg GmbH have successfully completed a joint automation project. The aim of the project was to automate a cleaning process for connecting rods so that they can be reused in completely overhauled engines. The project which revolves around robot-assisted overhaul of parts is a great example of how technology can contribute to the transformation of the industry towards a circular economy.
