The new foundation NVI-GO Dutch Sustainability Industry - Built Environment (NVI-GO) unites companies from the Dutch manufacturing industry working on sustainable indoor climate for the built environment. The foundation is a broad relaunch of the Dutch Heating Industry (NVI).

The NVI-GO is now the umbrella under which various associations (formerly sections) work together. In doing so, NVI-GO takes care of the connections between the technologies and positioning.
In this way, NVI-GO promotes the interests of the manufacturing industry, is a discussion partner for the government and makes a concrete contribution to CO2 reduction in residential construction and utilities.

Annemarije Tillema, director of NVI-GO: "The Netherlands is in the middle of an energy transition and we need to reduce CO2 emissions. Together, our manufacturing industry offers the solutions to make the indoor climate of buildings more comfortable and sustainable. All with affordable, innovative solutions and always tailored to the specific situation. In this respect, we are leading the way in the Netherlands. The challenge is to maintain this lead with targeted programmes and to further accelerate it together with all stakeholders. Here, we are happy to work together associations and industries that can strengthen this movement."

To achieve its goals, NVI-GO has a new organisational structure immediately foundation and a board in which the former sections are represented as associations. The delegates on the board have a mandate from their association, allowing for faster decision-making. By working with all associations on the basis of connection, NVI-GO operates as a collective and can accelerate sustainability.

The new foundation structure makes it easier for other associations to join NVI-GO. They can easily join existing programmes, such as the hybrid route, legionella
or environmental database. That way, every association can benefit from the existing knowledge and experience and contribute. Moreover, they can initiate and flesh out new programmes from their expertise.

Possible future programmes of NVI-GO are circularity, sustainable tap water, all-electric, energy storage or green gas/hydrogen. Another focus of the NVI-GO is its attractiveness to existing and future technical talent needed to install the innovative solutions.
