Australian designer and boat enthusiast Chuck Anderson developed a beautiful floating villa located. Lilypad is specially designed as an exclusive private getaway in an idyllic setting. Interesting for readers with a green heart: the houseboat runs entirely on solar energy.

According to the designer, the floating villa is something of a world first. Main difference from many European counterparts is the fact that the villa is entirely solar-powered and there is no fuel on board without compromising luxury and functionality.

The Lilypad villa is accessible by boat and features a large outdoor terrace, complete with barbecue area, a 10-seat dining area, seating area and large outdoor parasols a relaxing afternoon on the outdoor terrace. Wooden decking surrounds the house which also features a small diving platform.

No skimping has been done on the interior design and finishing. To this end, Anderson devised a design that resembles a two-storey modern home. The house is anchored but can be moved to another berth when appropriate. The exterior is finished in wood and features a 3.20 m high glass folding door. Inside, the villa features a large sitting area with flat-screen TV and wooden floors. Adjacent to the living room is a fully equipped modern kitchen overlooking the water. In addition to a large 'master' bedroom, there is a luxurious bathroom and regulated wine cellar.
